During Passion Week, ribbons of different colors were hung on the cross erected at the front of GBC:
Purple was for Palm Sunday
(the King’s sovereignty)
Black was for Good Friday
(the suffering and death of our Lord)
White was for Easter Sunday
(the salvation power of the cross by which our sins are cleansed)
