Meet GBC Staff

Tsen-Jen Wu

Senior Pastor

Rev. Tsen-Jen Wu graduated from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and started serving at GBC in July 2007. His ministerial passions include book-by-book Bible study, expository preaching, discipleship, and equipping co-workers for the Great Commission. Pastor Wu is married to Lily Chua, and is blessed with one son.

Nick Brideson

English Congregation Pastor

Nick Brideson comes from Australia where he worked as an engineer, but he came to Taiwan and was baptized at Grace Baptist Church in June 2000. He earned his Master of Ministry Leadership (2011), Master of Divinity (2014), and Doctor of Ministry (2022) degrees from Rockbridge Seminary. He was ordained at Grace Baptist Church in 2013 and now serves as Pastor for the English congregation

Priscilla Liao

English Congregation Minister

Priscilla was born and grew up in Taiwan. She was baptized at Grace Baptist Church in 1998. She later served as the English congregation secretary at GBC for nine years before God called her to study in Southern Baptist Theological Seminary (Louisville Kentucky) where she graduated in December of 2017 with a Master of Divinity in Biblical and Theological Studies. She is interested in Women’s Ministry, Small Groups, Counseling and Missions.

SueJenny Hsu

English Congregation Secretary

SueJenny Hsu served as a part-time secretary at GBC for four and a half years before becoming the full-time secretary in March 2012. She is grateful for the Bible which helps her to walk, learn and grow in the Christian life.

Stella Chen

English Congregation Part-Time Secretary

Stella Chen has served from March 2019 for the English Congregation and is available on Wednesdays, thursdays, and Fridays for matters relating to English and Bilinhual services.

David Kong

Pastor

Rev. David Kong reminds himself, “Serving the Lord with experience; Loving God with simple hearts” as his ministry philosophy. He graduated from Singapore Bible College and started serving at GBC in May 1997. Pastor’s wife, Mei-Hui Yang, is responsible for Asaph Choir, paring with the organ pianist.

Henson Huang

Pastor

Pastor Henson graduated from Taiwan Baptist Theological Seminary and came to GBC for full-time ministry in September 2011 and ordained as a pastor on May 7, 2016. Henson’s burden is to lead the youth of this generation to the Lord and to train them to be disciples of Jesus and witnesses to the world! Henson married 張意才 with one son.

Gerry Chien

Pastor

Pastor Gerry Chien is a graduate of Taiwan Baptist Christian Seminary joining GBC pastoral staff from July 2023. His areas of interest are correctly sharing the Bible in accordance with its original meaning, doing discipleship training, serving together, and fulfilling the Great Commission together.

Pastor Gerry is married to Dora Tai, and they have been blessed with a son.

Alex Guo

Pastor

Pastor Alex studied and completed a Master of Divinity degree at Talbot School of Theology, California, U.S.A. He moved to Taiwan several years ago and served at Tainan Holiness Church. Currently, Alex and his wife Melody serve together at Grace Baptist Church Bilingual service. They also work with a few fellowships.
The focuses of his service are: (1) Bible teaching, (2) Work of the Holy Spirit, and (3) Christian fellowship.

Lydia Liang

Minister

Minister Lydia graduated from Chinese Evangelical Seminary after many years of working experience and encouragement from Jian Kang Road Baptist Church in Tainan. She is constantly reminded by the Bible verses in Deuteronomy 2:25b, “Your strength will equal your day.” and in Psalm 23:1, “The LORD is my shepherd, and I shall not be in want.”

Gloria graduated from China Evangelical Seminary. She and her husband, Stephen Huang, are blessed with two active and charming sons.

Lydia Chen

Minister

Minister Lydia Chen is a first-generation Christian who came to faith at GBC. She has served in ministries alongside her husband, Pastor Shih-Chao Wang, and they have two sons. Later, she received God’s calling to be equipped at the Taiwan Baptist Theological Seminary. During that time, she served as an intern at GBC Church. She continues to follow God’s leading by participating in GBC’s ministries, and working together with brothers and sisters to fulfill the Great Commission entrusted by God.

Chuh-Sien Lin

Teacher (by appointment)

Lin Chu-Hsien, a Cantonese born in Taiwan.

Impacted by her mother, Lin first came to Grace when she was 9. She served in the Children’s Choir, Youth Choir, and now still serving with the Heman Adult Choir. She also received abundant life equipment and training in Youth and College BTUs. In her first year of Senior High, she started to join the mission trips to Green Island and preach the gospel for the Lord.

After her graduation from the Department of Music, she served as a Worship Minister in Grace for 6 years. She went to the States for further education and returned with a Master of Choral Conductor in N.J. Rutgers University. She devoted herself in teaching after returning Taiwan and teaches in Taipei National University of the Arts and Soochow University. Praise the Lord for His guidance and protection that Lin returned to the service team of Grace. She considered this opportunity to serve her “home” the most beautiful things in her life. May she walk in the light of the Lord and will not depart from it all her life.

Anita Chen

Three months after being baptized in GBC in 1994, Anita had been on staff full-time. She gives thanks to God for serving Him with what she had learned. She has been applying that she can do all things through Him who strengthens her. (Philippians 4:13). And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. (Romans 8:28)

Sister Ann graduated from Ming-Chi University of Technology in Department of Visual Communication. She came to GBC in June 2007. She is grateful that the Lord uses her school training to serve Him and through the experience of service she can experience Him and rely on Him even more.

Brother Isaac graduated from National Taiwan Normal University and joined GBC to serve the Lord in 2005. He hopes to serve the pastors and staff in PA/sound system and audio recording to make the communication as clear as possible.
